Police have arrested two parents after they left their young toddler with two young teenage boys. The police were called to the home by a frantic neighbor after a dog escaped it's cage and began attacking the other dog- leaving a trail of blood through the home and into the room that the crying toddler was rescued from.
When officers arrived at the home in the 400 block of Stoneledge, a woman with a baseball bat was screaming that the baby was trapped inside the house with the dogs. The parents, Jonathan M. Newton, 26, and Angela K. Newton, 28, have been arrested, while the child has been placed with relatives.
Officers found blood in the home's kitchen and hallway, then heard a baby crying.
They forced open the door to the baby's room where the dogs were still fighting.
