The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil,
but because of those who look on and do nothing.

Some mothers shouldn't be

Tina S. Day may have given birth to a child, but she was by no standards a real 'mother'. Rather than care for and cherish her child, she did what most of us would believe to be unthinkable... she offered her child to sexual deviants- for a fee.

A Seymour woman has pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution after being accused of accepting money to arrange sex between male acquaintances and a preteen girl.

Tina S. Day, 38, will be sentenced to the Class B felony on March 13 in Jackson Circuit Court and faces up to 20 years in prison.

Day was arrested in August and charged with promoting prostitution, two counts of child molesting and one count of neglect of a dependent.

The article notes that as part of a plea agreement- the molestation charges along with the neglect charge may be dismissed.

And in a very related case, Jose Mendez-Romero, 35, and Sergio Urtrea-Viveros, 40 were both found guilty on charges of molesting the child and face 70 and 50 years in prison, respectively.
