The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil,
but because of those who look on and do nothing.

It's not really that time yet,

I know it's still pretty much winter out- there's snow still on the ground outside and it's still colder than I can stand, but it's as good of time as any to take a moment and remind people that we should all always be aware of what our children are doing.

Two boys pulled from the St. Marys River near a downtown Fort Wayne apartment complex died early this morning at a Fort Wayne hospital.

Indiana Conservation Officer Rodney Clear says the boys, ages 4 and 9, were pronounced dead at Parkview Hospital about five hours after they were pulled from the frigid water last night.

He said the boys were unresponsive when they were found and never regained consciousness.

Adding to this sad situation is that yet another child in the same area was believed to be dead after going missing, officials believe he drowned in the Elkhart River.

As the weather gets warmer, we're likely to here so many more stories like these, and if even one can be prevented by doing a little more to supervise our children- shouldn't we make that effort?
