The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil,
but because of those who look on and do nothing.

Short on time...

I've been busier than you can imagine, but I've had some interesting cases come across my desk (read that to mean my email has been working overtime) in the last few days that I couldn't help but share with you.

Dallas police are looking for a serial predator, whose sexual attacks date back to 2005. He's known for approaching women while they are near their cars, and most of the attacks have taken place in parking lots of apartment complexes late at night.

Police describe the suspect as a 25- to 35-year-old black man who is either bald or has very short hair. He's said to be 5' 8" to 6' tall, weighing 160 to 180 pounds with a heavy build.

Police say this is not the same suspect who has struck in other North Texas cities during the same time period, including Plano and Frisco. According to police, that man has struck a total of 19 times in various North Texas cities.SOURCE

Registered sex offender Angel Sistrunk has once again been arrested, this time for having sexual contact with a 14 year old girl. Despite his attempt to move away when he learned of the impending investigation, police were able to catch him. SOURCE And they say sex offenders don't re offend. Ha.

Of course if that one doesn't prove we have a problem, this one just might. A registered sex offender was arrested after police searching him home found a 14 year old girl...
Police executed a search warrant at the home of a registered sex offender only to find a 14-year-old girl under the covers in a locked bedroom wearing a dog collar, according to a probable cause document filed Wednesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Jonathan Rapoport doesn't like being best known for his conviction relating to the sexual abuse of boys in the 1990's, even though his attacks date back into the 70's. Instead, he'd like to be once again known as a lawyer- his career which ended when the bar stripped him of his license due to the conviction.
A former Stamford lawyer who has spent time in prison for molesting children is seeking reinstatement of his law license. SOURCE

And, I'd be shamed if I didn't share with you some of the cases being covered by some of my favorite blogs:

Trench at Psycho for Love has updates on the case of the teacher/student relationship which lead to the two taking off to Mexico.

LA Crime Scene has a post on promoting peace that is well worth the click over. (okay... did NONE of you notice I wrote piece rather than peace??? told you I was short on time :D)

Stephen of Crime Scene Blog is looking at the case of missing Brianna Denison and some clues in the case that I'm sure you'll find interesting.

And Home Sweet Home has the case of a 10 old girl who is now a mother... if this one doesn't boil your blood, then nothing will.
